My Juice Cleanse with Ritual Cleanse

I was offered the opportunity to try out a juice cleanse from Ritual Cleanse.  They're a wonderful company that offers 100% organic juices made from vegetables, fruits and nuts.  The service was excellent and the delivery was right on point.  I was to start my "Seasonal Reset" cleanse on a Monday and when I woke up at 7am, the juices were already on my doorstep.  They do offer a pick-up option if you'd like to pick-up instead of pay the delivery fee.  The juices are pressed the day before for ultimate fresh-ness.  There are 6 different juices that are to be consumed in a day.  My cleanse lasted for 3 days, so I had 6 bottles a day for 3 days= 18 bottles of juices total!  You are to drink only the juices along with water and hot tea but not any food.  I rarely eat any fruits!  I just don't think that fruits taste that good and I'm not too great with eating my veggies as well.  I'm sure my body was shocked when I started consuming all the healthy veggies, fruits and nuts.

The 1st day was the hardest because I just wanted to eat some solid food.  I started to miss chewing haha.  Although the 1st day was difficult, the 2nd day came and things were much easier.  Once day 3 came around, it was a piece of cake and I felt like I could continue consuming juices for a longer period.  Ritual Cleanse does offer a 5 day cleanse if you'd like to go longer than the 3 days.  I started noticing a change in my skin, my face felt so soft and smooth that I could not stop touching my it :)  I hadn't changed or started using any new skin products so I knew that it HAD to be the Ritual Cleanse working it's magic.

The tastes of the juices vary but my absolute favorite had to be juice #2!  Made of mango, pineapple, green apple, and young coconut water... it was amazing!  I absolutely adore coconut water and the mixture of that with mango was just divine.  Juice #4 tasted like lemonade which was fun.  All the green juices tasted pretty similar from one another.  They had the base ingredients of spinach, romaine, kale, celery and cucumber so you KNEW that the stuff was healthy for you.  Juice #6 was the only one with nuts in it and so the consistency was a lot thicker than the rest of the juices.  Since it's the last juice you're supposed to drink for the night, it's thicker consistency made me feel much fuller than the rest.

Although you're only consuming liquids the entire day, I was never starving.  I did get hungry in between the juices but as soon as I had the next bottle, I was FULL.  They were surprisingly filling.  I loved that I didn't have to think about what I wanted to eat for my next meal, I didn't have to pack my lunch in the morning (just couldn't forget my juices for the day).  At the end of the cleanse, I had lost a total of 5 lbs but I expected this to decrease once I started eating normally again.  A week after I ended my cleanse, I lost a total of 2.5 lbs.  I didn't go into the cleanse expecting to lose any weight so that was a plus.  You really have to have the right mind going into any sort of cleanse.  You do it to better your body and health.  You can't expect to lose weight and have it as your main goal.  I felt much healthier after this cleanse.  My body felt lighter and I felt like my stomach was digesting food better.  I developed a greater appreciation for food (since I had missed it so much).  You can definitely expect to come out of this cleanse with a healthier body and perspective.  I wasn't as tired throughout the day as I used to be and even my nails were stronger too!  The only thing that was difficult for me was having to use the restroom sooooo often to go pee hahaa.  I think that this should be expected though since you're consuming 6 bottles of juices every day.

Because Ritual Cleanse uses 100% organic ingredients for their juices, the cleanse can be pricey but if you can get other people to sign up with you, they do offer a group discount.  I'd definitely recommend this cleanse to anyone that is looking for a healthy approach to cleansing and I'd definitely choose Ritual Cleanse the next time I do another cleanse.

Here's my video review of the Ritual Cleanse

Butter London Nail Polishes & Lippy Review

I was ecstatic when Butter London reached out to me to review their nail polishes.  I chose Knackered, Lillibet's Jubilee and Yummy Mummy because I found these to be the most wearable yet unique.  I also tried out the matching Yummy Mummy Lippy.  Here are some upclose pictures of the beauties.

Fun Spring/Summer Gradient Nails

I decided to do something fun and different with my nails and randomly thought of this gradient look.  The base color was Essie A Crewed Interest and Urban Outfitters Smush was sponged on for a more gradient french manicure look versus a harsh line. I really like the way that it came out and also received many comments of interest when I wore this out.

Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Foundation Routine

The Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Foundation in shade Warm Ivory has been a god-send for me within the past month or so.  My skin has oddly been soooo dry that this cream foundation is my current favorite over all my other foundations and BB creams.  Please note that I have very dry and sensitive skin.   I would only recommmend this for those with Dry to Normal skin.  Anyone with even combination to Oily skin will probably find this too heavy and overly moisturizing.  Also, with oiler skin, this cream foundation will probably slide around on your face even after you set it with a powder.  However, for my dry skin, this foundation leaves me with the most incredible healthy, glow-y, and dewy skin.  It's perfection for anyone that needs that extra hydration.  Although this foundation doesn't have any spf, I personally don't mind since I always wear a sunblock under my makeup.

I use my fingers which I find works best with this foundation.  I warm up a small amount of it in between my fingers, then apply to the face by dabbing and patting it everywhere.  The warmth of my fingers really break down the foundation and help for a smooth application so that it doesn't just sit on top of the skin.  If you dislike using your hands, you can use a sponge.  Soak the sponge in water, squeeze excess liquid, then apply foundation using dabbing motions.

Trend - Armor Rings

This armor ring trend has been going on for some time now but, I'm only just getting into it. The "finger" ring that pretty much covers the entire length of your finger with medieval metal is popping up everywhere. Most of these are pretty expensive but I've been finding them at such affordable prices at Forever 21 and For Love 21 stores.  Check out my video below for my recent armor ring purchases.

i dream of . . . McQueen

"OhMyGawwwwd"  Those were the words that came out of my mouth when I saw THIS~

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN Taupe Double Wrap Python Bracelet
ALEXANDER MCQUEEN Taupe Double Wrap Python Bracelet
ALEXANDER MCQUEEN Taupe Double Wrap Python Bracelet
ALEXANDER MCQUEEN Taupe Double Wrap Python Bracelet

Alexander McQueen's Taupe Double Wrap Python Bracelet which retails for $325 USD.  Found Here

I absolutely adore the color and the python details.  Although the idea of it actually being 100% python skin creeps me out (I'd much rather opt for python imprinted leather), the stunning multi-faceted effects of the scales and of course the iconic Alexander McQueen skull just lures me.  The hardware is "gold tone" and the skull has Swarovski crystal eyes.  Since it's made in Italy and is real python skin, I guess the hefty price-tag can be viewed to some as being reasonable.  I doubt I'll ever purchase this with my own money but a girl can dream right?  It's absolutely gorgeous and I can't take my eyes off of it!  I think that the bracelet could be even better with rose-gold tone hardware instead of the yellow gold~ just a thought :)

Does anyone actualy own this?!  It's just too beautiful~

i dream of . . . Delectable Caviar Nails

Hello~ I hope everyone’s doing well!  I haven’t updated here in so long!

I wanted to share something I’ve been intrigued by…  Have you guys heard of this fairly recent nail art called the “Caviar Nails.”

Ciate Caviar Manicure Set 6 Are You Ready for Ciates Caviar Manicure? Its Coming to Sephora!

It looks quite chic and stunning but can also look a bit too much and childish if done the wrong way.  I personally think that doing just one nail on each hand with the Caviar pearls is plenty and can look artistic.  However, if you do choose to Caviar all of your nails, I think that the black and mother of pearl is the most forgiving.  The rainbow caviar done on all nails looks like a little girl dipped her sticky fingers into a jar of sprinkles, which I can’t say looks tres chic.

Ciate is a UK based brand and they have 3 different caviar colors available- Black, Mother of Pearl(white), Rainbow (looks like sprinkles).  The kit comes with one nail polish color and one container of caviar pearls.  The caviar pearls are meant to be poured all over your just-painted wet nail and then the pearls have to be gently pressed down for maximum adhesion.  No top coat is meant to be used over the caviar pearls but only on the edge/tip of each nail.  The Ciate Caviar nail kit can be purchased at Sephora and retails for $25.  I do think this price is quite over-the-top but unless you’re willing to go out to an art supply store and find some beads yourself, you don’t really have much of a choice.  When I google image searched Caviar Nails, there were posts of ladies that had gone out and found similar sized beads to the Ciate one so I know that if one looks hard enough, they can avoid the hefty $25 for the Caviar nail kit.  The one that I’m lusting over is the kit that includes the black nail polish and black caviar pearls.  Of course, you don’t have to use the nail polish included in the kit as the base color.  You can opt for any of your favorite polishes to use instead.  My biggest concern with this is that the pearls will continually fall off.  I just wonder exactly how long this can actually last when even my regular nail polish chips oh-so-quickly.  Second concern, I love long nails so my nails are never short, this caviar nail art would probably work best on shorter nails because long nails naturally bend and I feel like this can cause the pearls to loosen.  Have any of you tried this nail-art out?  Any of you purchased the Ciate Caviar nail kit?

i dream of...

There's a few beauty products I'm dreaming of right now...

Dior Rosy Glow Blush.  It's supposed to adjust colors according to your individual skin tone, similar to Dior Lip Glow(which I LOVE). I still haven't gotten the chance to see this in person but if it's anything like the Lip Glow, I WANT :D

This butter LONDON nail polish from the Spring 2012 collection in Knackered looks lovely.  I am itching to try it out but I've reviews that it's a sheer formula which I do not enjoy.

But look how gorgeous it looks up close :)  Anyone try this out? Yay or nay?

This butter LONDON polish in Bossy Boots also from the Spring 2012 collection is a pretty color but at first glance, it reminds me of Essie Da Bush which I own.

I want to try this out, Rosa Arctica from Kiehls.  My face during this winter has been ridiculously dry, I'm in need of some major hydration!  Those of you that have this, any comments?

Last but not least, I can't wait to see the Kate Moss for Rimmel lipsticks in person!  Where can I find this in SoCal?

Can't wait to get my paws on all of these!(hopefully)  :)
